She primarily can not lift her arms other than swinging it to side to side with much effort. She uses her mouth to do most things and has a robot arm that can help her with functional ADLs. Any ideas for adaptations or alternative techniques that could help her achieve her goal?

She's got good finger dexterity and can use a wheelchair that adjusts to piano height. The main challenge is that she has very limited arm and shoulder movement.

Good to note. I have done enough self growth that hiding would just let them win. I know my truth and I will defend it if I need to. Will it be tiring, yes. Will it still be worth it, yes. I appreciate the comfort that there is community!

As a new professional I hope I can help shift the conversation to where people that are neurodivergent and have varying identities can feel safe and heard like we do for the people we work with. Where there’s not such a divide and extreme irony.

This is so disheartening. I’m reading the comments and it’s making me feel so unsafe. Of course I’m not surprised of the ableism in our profession as I experienced it myself as someone that has a physical disability and mental health conditions as conditions.
