We’re keeping America’s states united!
just got a notification from the nyt app saying Pete hegseths security guard has been accused of beating civilians. That's a pretty bad look for trump no?

how are they? really I keep seeing this take and I don't get it at all.
December 16, 2024 at 10:30 PM
how did they?
December 16, 2024 at 10:29 PM
this is so stupid, its like something he would post on truth social.
December 16, 2024 at 10:29 PM
how so? all of their editorials are critical of trump, for good reason. They really seem to be pretty centrist with a left leaning bias. Especially in the opinion section.

this is kind of insensitive to post satire. I agree with the spirit of it but maybe don't joke about these things.

Hey I'm as against class warfare as much as the next guy. The guy had it coming and most of the other 30mil or so plus people do too.

Death count is officially three, not five. One death was the shooter, one was a student, and one was a teacher. Horrible.
December 16, 2024 at 10:22 PM
This is a travesty of law!

Shut up hoe

What a shame that a criminal can choose to put anyone in positions of power like this.

We have made a mistake.
November 23, 2024 at 10:34 PM
Highly illegal!

Senator Mitch McConnell commended the decision, saying it represented "an important step in the direction of restoring the First Amendment rights".

This remains a controversial ruling. It’s one that is steeped in legal language that makes it hard for many to grasp. Not to say they can’t disagree

We contended 5-4 that the free speech clause of the first amendment applies to independent expenditures by corporations and other similar organizations to political campaigns.

Justice John Paul Stevens argued that the court's ruling was "a rejection of the common sense of the American people.”

This comes from an internationally recognized war criminal.

Remember, whatever your opinions on Ukraine, even if you are a Russian who sees Putin as an admirable leader. He deserves to face justice as much as anyone else.

Let justice be done though the heavens may fall.

That was a great ruling.
However, Congress eventually decided that they did not like it and intervened.
November 23, 2024 at 9:39 PM
By all means by skeptical, it is your first amendment right.

Vernonia School District 47J v. Acton, 515 U.S. 646 (1995)

It allowed schools to implement random drug testing on students participating in athletic programs.

This is misleading.

The DoJ has submitted its suggestion to the court that google sell chrome among other things. This is their solution to google’s monopoly.

Google will submit its own suggestion and then the judge will decide.

What a great example of the beauty of America.
