this white masked Mama has been coming around for handouts for 4 summers now. First photo from 2021, second from today. You can see she's aged, but at least 5 is not young for a wild raccoon. They lose a lot of fear when they have nursing young. I hope she comes around next year.

I just picked this big (20#?) watermelon from my garden. Puppy for scale. Held it with both arms against my chest and didn't notice the Black Widow on it right away. Didn't faze me though. Reading my feed? That's scary.

I grew a papaya tree from seed from a papaya I got from the store. This is in my little attached greenhouse in Kentucky. Doesn't stay real warm in the winter, but apparently warm enough. This is the second year of producing good edible fruit. It's not much but should keep me from getting scurvy.
