Did you hear Marketplace yesterday where Kai covered FTZs? Fascinating...

I don't know how MA does it but the registered agents for corporations in CA are usually not the owners themselves but people/companies who take a fee for being the registered agent and providing anonymity to the owner while fulfilling the requirement to have a public address for legal service.

Kai has covered this already. Yes, tariffs apply to things ordered but not yet through customs. They are taxed upon arrival. And he often has a guest on who is a person who monitors tariff policy and advises her client companies how and when to comply. I recommend listening to Marketplace every day.

Jesus Christ, Ken, every podcaster with half a brain has had an expert on to explain tariffs and the history thereof over the last 5 months. Anyone who doesn't understand at this point is just willfully ignorant.

That's my IRA you're talking about and I didn't cause this mess.

She resigned from Skadden Arps, not Paul Weiss. It's a call to arms for Skadden.

Do NOT mention her in the same breath as Newsom.

It's not a cooking show, per se. Right? It's a lifestyle show?

Just pointing out that it's far more likely he died of natural causes than "Epsteinism".

State charges, not federal. Orange felon couldn't save him.

He was 87.

I paid $4.43 for regular which is the lowest price I've paid since I started tracking it in Sept 2023. North San Diego County.

Now I'm curious how much TJ's prices vary by region... I'm in n SoCal.

Just because the OED hasn't added it yet, doesn't mean it's not an acceptable usage.

While I agree about the specific things you mention, they have many things I drive the extra five miles to buy only there each week. I also don't assume that everyone shares my feelings about coffee, pre-cut veggies, and snacks. My ego allows for other people to have preferences different than mine.

The lowest prices for milk and eggs and frozen fruit for smoothies of any grocery.

I assume this is Stephen Miller. It doesn't sound like Trump at all. Trump has never used the words "I feel" and "merely". And look at all the commas, and the use of single quotes for 'in kind'. So someone else has a beef with Comcast, and is couching it as a beef with Seth Meyers.

His family must not have gardened. We had fresh all summer long from the backyard garden and we usually had a larger garden outside of town where we grew enough to can or freeze for the rest of the year. But nowhere near the variety of what we have fresh year round now.

Last, Tupperware is great quality but it's also expensive compared to it's nearest competitors. If it was to be sold retail, it would most likely be at Williams Sonoma or Sur La Table. Plus, we've lost that huge middle class with SAHMs that it used to be targeted at.
