This is an A.I image I prompted. It's of a modern apartment, looking out at the City Center off in the distance at night. Now, I needed an idea, and the one that came to me, was to take a random picture, like this one, and write about what's going on in, and around it. It started as this guy, just about to have a glass of wine, it's Friday Night, of a four day weekend. He hears a knock at the door, and it's a work friend, and she's looking like she has a problem. The writing experiment was supposed to be about what happens in the "Four day long weekend" BUT.... Soo, I'm writing it in sections, each section has a picture to "ground" the section. Four Days, didn't seem like a long time, but I've been writing a section a day, for 20 days now...A lot cam happen in a day apparently. BUT, I'm finally at Sunday Night, and the story is only going to do to "Monday Night" if I stick to the original idea, soo..... What do I do after "Monday Night"? New idea, continue this one, or do I "redux" the original, make it better?..... I wish I could have put this in the post, and not behind a picture....I still have characters, but I've basically run out of things to say. That's the sitch, thanks for reading, and good night. ;)

I've been doing
a writing exp.
It's on it's 12th day.
I'd share here, but
it's a story.
Breaking it down into
small chunks? NO.
A wood floored room, with wood walls, and a coffered ceiling. The rich brown tones, subdued lighting, leather chair, and the bookcase built into two of the walls show this is a room for study, reading, or quiet contemplation. Outside the window, a view of the buildings, and their reflection in the water. The lights on the thoroughfare lighting up the lower floors of the buildings as the night cast their higher floors into darkness. Yet, even at night, the city is alive, and filled with people. And all of that is visible from the quiet room, in a home, across the water.... Now If I can write all that about a picture, why can't I use the same number of characters to just write what I want? Yes, I CAN go to another site....and I do. Aside from twits site, I can't think of another one that places limits on how much you can say.... Later, and take care....

disappear...

Once more,
I look around,
see no answers.
Only the questions,
scattered on the
ground, like the
hopes, and ideas
of people who
dropped them,
and never looked
back.
Another A.I picture I prompted. The old man, grey hair matching his beard, looks around the city he remembers looking differently than it does now. The bustling sidewalks, filled with people going about their lives, while he watches, and wonders about the people he used to know, but no longer sees when he goes out. On the streets, buses line up to pick people up, and there never seems to be a lack of people to pick up. The old see all this, and still remembers when the city wasn't soo big, the buildings not soo tall, and the streets not soo busy. But time marches on.....and all he can do now, is watch. Watch from the side of the street.

I'm Not Where I Thought I'd Be.

Soo, tempus fugit, and
all that goodness.

Asking myself the hard
questions lately, and
not really coming up
with good answers.....

I'm sure I'm not alone
in this, it's just that, the
knowledge I'm "not alone"
isn't exactly helping me to
answer the questions I have.
It's late, but the Metropolis never gets truly dark...unless there's a power outage, and those don't happen anymore. High above the streets, and the hustle, and bustle of the cars, and people, more people go about their business. Just as the city never truly sleeps, it residents keep all sorts of different hours to match the various jobs that constantly need doing. On a balcony, high above the sounds of the traffic, a young woman passes here gaze over the city that truly never sleeps, and for a moment, she forgets her rush... She pauses in her tracks, to lean on a railing for a moment, and try to make sense of everything before her; the lights, the scale of it, just how long she's been there now. As she does this, the heart of the city continues to beat. As others walk past her, and say nothing. They too, have been in her place. Soon enough, the moment will pass, and she'll blend back into the crowd, and disappear. Soo many people, and soo many stories that nobody will ever hear about.

A young woman walks down an old side street. It's coble stones damp after the rains, but even so, the people are already returning, to the shops as the street lamps automatically turn themselves on for another evening. The shops are small, Mom, and Pop type places, more concerned with that they sell, than how the store looks. The windows above the stores, low rent havens, with air conditioning units hanging out of almost all of them. It's just another non descript ally, in another non descript neighbourhood in the Big City. Looking at the paper in her hand, she thinks she's getting closer, and she wishes she was warm at home. As she walks along, another story in the city unfolds.

Sometimes It's Quiet At Night....(Sometimes, It's TOO Quiet.)

Here we are, and
things continue to
spiral out....

I try not to think too
much about it, but when
it's constantly thrown in
your face, eventually you
have to wipe it off....

Soo, I went back to the
A.I, and tried prompting
it again....
The park at night is dark, but the white snow makes it seem bright. The few lights along the paths do little more than show people the paths they can't see under the snow. Starting at the edge of the park, the city streets stretch towards the heart of the city, like rivers of multcolour lights that merge at the horizon, and seemingly turn into towers of light that point themselves up into the dark sky, and the stars that twinkle above them. But they are not towers of light, but the towers of concrete, and steel... From the park, nothing of the city can be heard. In the park, all is quiet, save for the sound of a rare hiker, getting away from the noise of the city, and the wind.

Welcome to Winter Country....
A man looks on as other people walk through a city park in Winter. Despite being nighttime, it's fairly bright, as the light from the Moon reflects off the snow, and high lights the people, and trees. In the distance the city skyline is a mix of apartment, and office buildings. Even at this time, there are lights on in each. The city never truly sleeps, and neither does the man watching it.
