Suposo que s'estimen més de cobrar a empreses per deixar utilitzar els espais públics que no pas cedir-los a la gent que els manté amb els impostos. De vergonya aliena.

Yes, but we're still waiting for the Laconia arch.

Kenobi or the Acolyte. In either case, they should get the writing team behind Andor and let them cook. Make them aim higher than the past seasons did. Ewan McGregor is a superb Kenobi and he'd do great with a script with bigger ambition. Lay the morals of the rebellion bare. And of the imperium.

If something claims to be science fiction and didn't have inspiration in Syd Mead's art, then it's sloppy science fiction. #TheRule

Well... I've always been a perfectionist and extremely self-conscious of my drawings. I hold myself to an impossible standard, so it is extremely difficult for me to like my own drawings. That doesn't mean if someone else presented me with a drawing on par with mine I wouldn't like it.

I use that one for writers that I used to enjoy and then start acting in a questionable way (JKR), or when I learn that they were morally questionable from the start and took advantage of vulnerable people (NG). If I haven't read them before and they're already questionable, I don't even start.

That's the one I usually go for. I won't contribute to them getting to enjoy my money. Maybe their heirs will, but they're innocent of their parent's sins, usually, so I don't have a problem with that.

This is the type of dilemma that is good to face in game, with the players looking at it through the eyes of their characters, with a certain perspective. And debate can happen from a distance, a bit like Star Trek did social commentary on real world issues from the Sci-fi perspective.

And I think I don't need to specifically mention those, but many of these are tied to various religions around the world, and others in bogus pseudoscientifical beliefs that have completely been disproved. And yes, if you look at them with a bit of perspective, they look absurd and unnecessary.

That is true. However, we have numerous examples in Real World™️ of barbaric traditions that aren't justifiable, but still enforced for whatever reason or justification. And when you point out that those traditions are a violation of human rights and should be abolished, the shit hits the fan.

All the ethics/moral choices the characters might make may or may not be relevant or appropriate in a different setting than their own. What do you do when you arrive in a theocracy that still practices human sacrifice as means of getting good harvests and uses forced labour to work the fields?

I have more worlds, and in each of them I used different kinds of religion and mixed it with politics to give more flavour. The characters having to play and adapt to each religious system with different degrees of integration into the local politics can be already a big part of each new setting.

North America has the Council of Nations, where representatives of each the first nations gather and decide things demochratically. They were forced into it to stop the advance of the Mayans, and they're still animists at heart, praying to the spirits of the land, the animals, and their ancestors.

In south and central America, the Inca and Mayan empires still thrive, since Columbus never existed. The mayans are a Theochracy where the priests commune with the spirits they sacrifice their victims to. The Incas are a technologically advanced Technochracy with a primitive AI ruling their destiny.

After the other Christian kingdoms betrayed them and set siege to Constantinoble, the Emperor decided to turn their back to religion and embraced oscurantism and the arcane arts. So the Empire is backed by Magic and not religion, and they're the dominant power in Europe and continental Asia.

Was essentially a society founded by scientists and the bureaucrats who ran the project, so they're secular and the only faith they have is in crazy sci-fi science. Then things get tricky. One of the alternate worlds is an Earth where the Holy Roman Empire never fell against the Ottomans...

My own game is multiversal in nature, so I decided to play with the theme and introduce stark contrasts between different alternate versions of humanity. Terra Prima, the original one, still has the normal religions but people have lost their faith, mostly. Their offshoot, the New World Alliance...
