No good reason. Maybe to have at least some form of recognition and an overview of the number of reviews I’ve done. I also hope for a future where peer reviewing earns you tokens that you need to spend in order to publish — as a way to make contributing to peer review a prerequisite for publishing.

I am not sure. The tax payer is already covering my $5,000+ APCs without much return, so I assume supporting my career isn't too much to ask. 🤓

Open science practices are not sufficiently incentivized, therefore we "do not have time" to engage in them. That is, conducting good research is not incentivized enough...
