This says more about our immigration system than about those who have cases pending for decades. Why aren't these people who have been in the US for decades & have been productive citizens already citizens or at least green card holders?
The individual cases often get lost in the sheer volume — many are people who fled violence and set up roots in the U.S. for decades, often married to U.S. citizen partners or w U.S. citizen kids, while their own asylum applications are pending. www.politico.com/news/2025/11...
