According to the Census Bureau's ACS estimate for 2023, the employment rate grew by 0.7% for individuals with a disability and shrunk by 0.1% for individuals without a disability.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics has resumed production of the monthly employment reports for the nation on a delayed schedule. Oregon’s metro and county level job estimates and unemployment rates are still not available beyond August 2025. (1/2)

The number of online ads in Oregon was 96,300 in October. The number of new ads increased by 4,600 over the month. Help wanted online ads span all areas of the state.

Oregon continued to have more deaths than births in 2024, leading to a fourth straight year of natural population decline. Net in-migration was the only source of population growth for six of Oregon’s eight metro regions.

In 2023, Coos County’s gross domestic product was $3.2 billion, which was an increase of 4.0% from 2022 and was the 911th highest GDP among 3,114 U.S. counties. Curry County’s GDP was $970 million, up 5.0% over the year to rank 1,827th highest.

Lane County’s total employment will grow by 13,000 jobs (7%) between 2023 and 2033. This increase includes private-sector gains of 11,200 jobs, 1,000 jobs in government, and an additional 800 job gain in self-employed Lane County residents.

There were 5,314 private-sector firms in Eastern #Oregon in the first quarter of 2025. Two out of three firms in the area have four employees or less (3,578 firms) and only 2.8% (150 firms) have 50 or more employees.

The number of online ads posted in Oregon totaled 94,700 in September, according to the Conference Board-Lightcast Help Wanted OnLine series. Ads posted for the first time (new ads) decreased by 3,350.

Oregon businesses reported 53,600 vacancies in summer 2025. Vacancies increased 5% from the spring and decreased 12% from summer 2024. Summer 2025 had the lowest number of summer job vacancies since 2020.
