An important stage in the creation of the Veteran Mental Health Centre of Excellence (VMHCE) has begun in cooperation with OpenDoorUkraine.nl, FGIP, and the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands.

🚛 OpenDoorUkraine.nl kicks off 2025 with action!

With €15,000 funding & support from Stichting Spoetnik, we sent the first humanitarian truck—11,420 kg of aid: food, Christmas packages, clothing & furniture.

On 26 November, Open Door Ukraine and the Ukraine Facility Platform held a conference in The Hague on Ukraine's energy security. We discussed renewable sources, decentralised systems and energy efficient construction. Together we are building a sustainable and independent future!

The creation of the Veterans' Mental Health Centre was launched with the support of Human Rights in Mental Health-FGIP, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and OpenDoorUkraine.nl. This is a new space for training specialists and helping veterans.

On 25-26 November, the ODU.nl team visited ReBuild Ukraine Construction & Energy, a platform for the restoration of Ukraine, in Warsaw. We met our partners Rawblox, Hempire UA, Yuriy Bova, and discovered ecoHAB (popcorn walls) and other eco-solutions. We are working together for a sustainable future

Together with Rawblox and Hempire, we’re building an eco-friendly house in Kyselivska using straw panels and hemp insulation for maximum energy efficiency. This project has gained Dutch media attention, showcasing global support for Ukraine’s sustainable recovery.

ODU, Rawblox, and Hempire’s project on straw bale houses has gained Dutch media attention. With a mobile production line, we’re rebuilding Ukraine with eco-friendly, energy-efficient homes that meet EU 2030 standards. This initiative also sets a benchmark for sustainable housing in Europe!

OpenDoorUkraine.nl builds houses from hybrid straw and hemp panels that meet EU safety, health and environmental standards. These fire-resistant, insulated homes provide year-round comfort, rodent-proofing and fast construction. Our first house, donated by Rawblox, is on its way to Ukraine!

OpenDoorUkraine.nl, with BAUEN HAUS, is building the first private house in Trostianets using SIP panels with cement-bonded particle boards (CBP). This innovative, eco-friendly technology ensures energy efficiency, safety, and healthier living. Together, we create sustainable homes for Ukrainians!

OpenDoorUkraine.nl would like to thank our partners from Life Line Ukraine for the wonderful furniture that was donated for our projects, as well as for the high-quality materials, including wall panels from the Netherlands and innovative insulation made from recycled fabrics.

OpenDoorUkraine.nl, together with partners and the Embassy of the Netherlands, handed over the keys to 21 families in Hansen,Tarasivka. More than 300 IDPs have received new housing, and 432 more units are planned. Together we are bringing hope and safe, inclusive housing to those affected by the war

An important trilateral meeting was held with the participation of the OpenDoorUkraine.nl team, our partners Hempire represented by Sergey Boyko and Rawblox represented by Daan Hartge. We visited Hempire's construction site to get acquainted with the unique technology of building houses from hemp.
