she spent an incredibly short time with us. but i take a lot of comfort in knowing that she was happy. she loved catnip, her unicorn toy, my little sister, watching tv, and sitting at our kitchen table. i was by her side the entire time to make sure she was comfortable as possible. she was happy.

we found that she did have an owner, who refused to take responsibility for her. because kitty wasn't legally ours, and her legal owner couldn't be bothered to give a fuck, there was nothing we could do.

i feel like we gave up on her, but the decision wasn't in my hands, though i wish it was. she was suffering worse than we thought, in ways that were never really explained to us. they told us that treatment would be near impossible. they put her down yesterday.
