I run the site oddthingsconsidered.com. I edit books. I sew things. I hang around with cats and @anvilcity.bsky.social. I'm frequently in need of a step stool. My disgust snarl is July’s avatar.
Out of curiosity, what does a trained sniper look like? Do they really stand out enough that you can peg them in street clothes?

You and Trump are the leaders of the free world (lol) and the two of you spend hours a day in online spats and arguments. I can't imagine how you thought more in this vein was a good idea. You should feel deep shame. You need to get offline, stay offline, and put a wreath on Joe Bageant's grave.

In 1990, when I worked in a shoe store, Tommy Lee came in to buy a pair of boots for a very enthusiastic female fan (ahem). He was exhausted but very polite. His fan was over the moon (and also very nice to me). I bet she still has those boots.

Me either. I need a Kleya to train me for what seems to be the grim inevitability awaiting us all if Saturday goes the way I suspect it will.

Obi looks so concerned!

This speaks to the moral and righteous poverty of their position. They are deeply afraid of the left - from suburban housewives with blogs to governors to kids on skateboards who make them look dumb. Johnson and my commenter are such tiny, weak men and they want to kill us because we noticed. 6/6

I'm unsure how to proceed with such a realization. I'm still not afraid. But I probably should be as men like the one who wanted to lynch and tar and feather me are now stealing people off the streets, egged on by violent and very stupid "betters" like Johnson. 5/6

I now live in a world where believing in habeas corpus and due process for all on American soil, having a distaste for poorly conceived conspiracy theory, for basically being alive, makes me an enemy and I have to take that seriously in a way I never did before. 4/6

I never thought that sort of masculine histrionics would become a common element of modern political partisan back and forth and that things could get so bad in America that the absolutely horrible threats left in comment sections may be followed with action. 3/6

I also wrote about how desperate conservative men - always men - think I want them dead. Swallowing massive amounts of stochastic terrorism enabled that commenter to utterly dehumanize me in such a way that he saw me as a threat to his country and to his very life. 2/6

I love it when rescued cats become so secure with their humans that they feel comfortable giving us a nip (or a chomp, as it were).

"Salad with tits" is a book title, Ben. You know what to do.
