In Alabama, it's illegal to carry an ice cream cone in your back pocket. This law allegedly stems from horse thieves who would use ice cream to lure horses away without technically stealing them

In Singapore, it's illegal to sell or import chewing gum (except for therapeutic purposes). This law was created to keep public spaces clean.

I wonder what classifies as a 'therapeutic purpose'

Odd Law: In Mobile, Alabama, it's illegal to spray Silly String in the city. This law was created after it became a problem during Mardi Gras celebrations.

In Vermont, it's technically illegal to ban clotheslines. The "Right to Dry" law protects people's ability to air-dry their laundry, even if their homeowners' association forbids it. #funfacts #laws
