Oh yeah looking at these against the pics of other Metatrichia species, I definitely think I've got Metatrichia vesparia; thanks for all the tips (and the gorgeous photos!)

I'm not 100% sure what counts as a "lid," but looking through my pics from last night I do think I see the spines on the capillitium. I'll have to try again to get some better photos later today; didn't really know what I was looking for yesterday so I missed that detail. Thanks for the tips!

I think this is Metatrichia vesparia, but I'm not too knowledgeable on slime molds so take that with a grain of salt. I'm at least pretty confident it's some Metatrichia species though!
