Enshitification of everything. It is hard enough to deal with your own parent(s) at that time, but to have to do a deep vetting of every care facility that you might want to place them at ... it can be overwhelming.

I think this is going to be self limiting, at least in the USA. We do not have the electrical infrastructure to support a dramatic increase in these data centers. Even if we approved new power generation plants, it will always be eight to ten years behind demand. China on the other hand ...
