Final Fantasy XIV rubs me the wrong way in a way I've never been able to understand. Which is odd, since I'm a big Final Fantasy and online RPG fan.

Just wanna say I have a ton of respect for Final Fantasy Grand Masters.
I only played at launch, but I think it really took a lot of the surface-level elements of FFXI and made them work in a mobile game online RPG space.
Wish my account didn't get banned lol.

I thought I'd try XIV again after the free log-in campaign, but it's not a month-long free period. It's a whole month to activate a 4-day playtime period, which is pretty lame.
Apparently, it begins when you log into the launcher, which I've already done.

I like the outfit designs in Magical Craft. It also looks like it has this weird on-rails exploration mode, which I'm trying to figure out if I like lol.
If it's fully explorable, I'm more for it, but if it's just a warp between areas, maybe not so much.

Something about them gives them FFXIV 1.0 vibes from time to time.

It's been a while since I've had a game where your party members literally get stuck on a wall and can't seem to recover from that lol.

Good amount of progress yesterday. The combat can be a bit slow even for me, but I do appreciate when everything aligns and you can chain together everything to burn like half the HP of a boss.
Also, man, I'm always impressed how well PS3/360 games have held up visually.
