If that list seems absurdly long, then you'd understand the point. It's not just a few cities. It's most of the ones Americans can think of as the biggest ones, and a few they probably wouldn't. And of course, that's not even approaching the assumption they'd all vote the same way. /endthread

They list a few big cities - New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, San Franciso - as if those by themselves make up a population majority. They don't - those and their metro areas are roughly 50 million total, a far cry from the 171 million necessary to reach 50% of the total US population.
