I didn’t know anything about her life until right now, when I did a tiny bit of reading, but even when I saw it I remember being struck by her Judith and Holofernes! So different from the Caravaggio painting of the same scene; so much more physical.

Oh, that’s such a difficult question. I saw so many things that I’d only heard about—or seen tiny, grainy prints of before—that the whole experience was a bit overwhelming. Do you have favourites?
