Any thing in life (environment, stress, etc) can cause your genetic predisposition to a condition to display at Any point in your life. if it wasn't HRT, it very equally could have been something else. you are right, stopping wont make the condition go away, it's best to just take care of yourself

I had the same fear lol, thankfully having access to older lgbt folks, seeing people not even realize they were trans until late 30s, you'll still have the same results
