Excited to work with a brand new style of #Argo floats: Apex floats manufactured by #TeledyneWebbResearch in Massachusetts. Half of them have RBR sensors (a Canadian CTD manufacturer) and half have the "traditional" SBE (Seabird Scientific) sensor. Moar data!!!
New shipment of @argocanada.bsky.social #Argo floats arrived (Teledyne Apex)! Getting them tested and ready to start deploying. Can't tell because of the baggies over the sensors, but half of them are #RBR sensors and the other half are #SBE sensors. Our committment to diversifying the Argo fleet!

🌡️ Rising temperatures are speeding up the hydrological cycle, making it more erratic and unpredictable.

🔵 This means we’re increasingly facing extremes—too much water in some places and too little in others.
