I think this goes not just for music but for pretty much anything that could reasonably be considered a "craft", there's this pervasive belief that all knowledge or skills are inherent and it's so so important that you kill that as soon as you can

I think a 2-3 month release cycle with 1-2 singles is the sweet spot, some bands these days are spending half a year on marketing and drip feeding the album and I understand this is the kind of behavior the modern era incentivizes but I hate it
