sidenote i know some people dislike victim as a term and prefer survivor and im not gonna tell other people what to call themselves but personally i hate the notion that to be a victim is degrading.. it's not degrading to be harmed, it is an injustice

also there's a lot of intertwining of ableism with the hatred of victims imo, it's so in the vein of changeling fears re: "my child has been replaced by something that looks like them but isnt human" (read: acts traumatized)

that the right use fears about sexual violence to stigmatize groups they hate isnt incongruous with the contempt they show for victims when you realize that the horror for many of these people is the thought of their daughters being broken or tainted, not that rape is a horrible thing to experience
