- Cutoff at 600 days because the graphs dont change much past this point
- Capcom calls Portable 3rd "Monster Hunter Freedom 3" in their financial reports so thats why it has that name here too

We also made this graph for the older games, charting the first 600 days of sales for the Monster Hunter games before MHGU

- Relying on Famitsu/Geimin in addition to Capcom's platinum report is again a limitation of this data set
- Sales data for MH1, MH2 and MHG is very limited

- The data is inherently limited by the frequency of Capcoms Platinum reports (happen 2-3x/year) which is why for example Sunbreak is the only game here with a Day 1 Sales Figure (report came out a day after release)

- These are unit sales and thus may not reflect the relationships between the profits accrued through the different releases (e.g. Wilds is sold for more money than GU so 10 sales of Wilds probably made Capcom more money than 10 sales of GU)

- All data on this and the above graph is taken from Capcom's Platinum Title listings, with old versions accessed via Wayback
- This excludes the sales of MHW+IB Master Edition, as Capcom only started listing that after March 31 2021 (nearly 2000 days after MHW's release)

Same graph expanded to include the first 2000 days after launch

Also very telling that its always CEO's, managers, finance bros etc that insist that there could be a middle ground. Every creative on the ground I know meanwhile has a pretty clear "fuck this" attitude!
