I think it’s also worth re-examining why seeing arab things in media, even if accurate, makes you shout taboo as a knee-jerk reaction. There’s always been a long history of my culture’s existence being propagandized and demonized by europeans and north americans and that’s worth remembering.

A little bit sad how quickly ppl jump to orientalism tho just seeing arab-inspired things. It existing in media alone doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing. I’m holding my reservations until we see how it’s actually handled! I for one am excited lol.
