It’s not just about the tax take, taxing the rich forces some selling of assets, this increases supply and lowers asset cost, meaning those further down the income scale can better afford assets, leading to a more equitable society and improved general growth.

It’s not just the tax take that’s important. In order to pay the tax the wealthy may be forced to sell some of their assets, increasing supply, reducing cost and allowing a market to properly develop for those with less money to purchase those assets. Helping to grow the economy.

Putin has an opportunity to capture all Ukraine. US military aid will stop. EU/UK could step in but a lot EU/UK military tech uses US tech meaning US stops supplying weapons to EU/UK. Meanwhile the carrot of a UK/US trade deal is to split UK from EU further. Divide and conquer. War is coming.

For many people, a rational logical scientific argument doesn’t balance the scales against belief, that’s why we have religion and climate change deniers.
