i'm sure there are plenty of books that have gun violence in school libraries (i've read them back when i was in school), and i'm sure that there are books with gay characters. guns and being gay exist. it's part of our world. don't try to make kids ignorant.

no, i wouldn't and i don't. there are no books teaching children how to kill people with guns in school libraries just like there are no books teaching children to be gay in school libraries. guns and people being gay exist, they're going to learn about both either way.

books don't make people gay. parents should be aware of what content their children are consuming, sure, but that doesn't really have anything to do with the statement at hand.
