@ghalfacree There are lots of examples, but the one that sticks out for me is HD-DVD that came out a few months after I started collecting and was gone in 2008.

Here's a comparison photo for scale with a Microcassette, Pocket Rocker cartridge, and Bandai micro cartridge.

The Karat film cartridge was reintroduced as the Agfa Rapid cartridge in 1964. This was almost identical, the main difference being a metal tab on the back of the cartridge that helped the camera identify the speed of the film.
