I watched the entirety of the RFK, Jr. confirmation hearing. (I could only stomach the first five minutes of Hegseth's.)

My conclusion: an over-ripe rutabaga or a small soap dish could do a better job than either of these individuals.

And because I'm speaking my truth, please just let me say the quiet part out loud:

I am wholly uncertain that the pillars of our democracy are going to hold under this unprecedented stress test.
