I've found that they're often good people despite their religious views, not because of them like so many seem to think. There are a lot of them that don't actually realize how monstrous the god they follow is, and have never read their own book to really find out that he was the villain all along.

Nah, I just think the universe is bigger and weirder and cooler than I could ever try to conceptualize enough to put it into a simple box labeled "created by ---".
