Trying to wrap my brain around AppleScript objects. I kind of get them but getting it and using it seem to be two different things. Trying to use them in a library for names and email addresses that I’d like to call up in other scripts.

I went to the bank the other day and the tellers name was Ryan Reynolds. I didn’t say a word, figured he had people comment on his name multiple times everyday, but all I could think of was Michael Bolton from Office Space

Jurassic Park Rebirth: it was pretty predictable. I found myself mainly annoyed watching it, wishing the characters had at least watched the previous movies beforehand…at least the characters in the previous movies knew more about the history. A Rogue One ending would have more fitting.

I’ve been applying at PRH for four or five years now (or more) for just about every remote book interior job and ebook job that they post. I’ve never gotten past the resume phase. I got another rejection email today 😕 Oh well, I will stay resilient and keep applying…

There really needs to be a serenity prayer for who have to use Acrobat to edit PDFs, especially when those PDFs are created from images 🫣

Guy in front of me was open carrying at the coffee shop. I’m a gun owner and I’m not uncomfortable around them but I didn’t feel safer with this guy walking around. Exactly the opposite.

I need a Netflix style script to embed in PDFs that have a popup that says “are you still using this file?” And if they don’t respond within a few minutes it closes the file.

When you and you’re wife go on vacation separately with you’re parents, I feel we need bingo cards with things like “see the ocean” “use a rideshare” “see a cat/dog” I donno just random travel stuff you can take pictures of and send the other person to feel together while you’re apart

I never really got into or did many fixed layout ebooks so I’m trying my hand at a cookbook for fun (by hand, no export) to get to know FXL better but man, this makes me feel like the early days of learning reflowable. So many failures and trying to figure things out. It’s good, but frustrating.
