yeah. taken from @redmagehero.bsky.social, who got it from @freydraws.bsky.social apparently. i've played at least some amount of every numbered game except 11, tactics, both tactics advance games, chocobo's mystery dungeon (wii), crisis core, and a very, VERY small amount of world of final fantasy

that new dissidia phone thing they just announced is probably going to fold within three months because it's deliriously overbudgeted and will run like shit on 80% of all phones but the collection of pngs of final fantasy characters in delightful tokyo fits is a pretty nice consolation at least

the original digital monster toy (photo care of wikipedia) was released in 1997 by bandai as a boy-focused counterpart to their tamagotchi series, and everything released since then (the anime, cards, and eventually video games) are all extensions of the original toy line
