Regarding the signal tower, it looks like a couple dipole antennas to the left and below the column. Dipole looks like a "Y" or "T"
(Or just symmetrically bent railing but I'm assuming they're deploying drone drops for a reason.)

In the tower business, we called gunshots to the antennas or cables, "ballistic tuning." Condensation and rain water would enter the perforations and ultimately water defeats electricity.
