apparently it was in the works for over a decade and went through so many different directors and studios that the result was a shell of a shell of what was originally envisioned. and it's a frustrating watch because it LOOKS very cool. but it was so confusing i ultimately found it boring.

just watched it recently along with a stephen king podcast i listen to and it's really incomprehensible. i expected to be able to follow it even a little bit. but no.
