The driver’s foot, under the influence of gravity, would certainly be pressing down, and the opposing force of the spring would limit the downward movement of the pedal. That’s why the car moved off fairly slowly, but not as slow as idling speed.

Because your body goes limp and gravity pulls everything downwards. It would be weird if gravity acted upon everything except your right foot.

Good parody. You almost had me.

‘Allegedly’ just means that someone alleged it, which someone did. What could be more neutral than reporting that an allegation had been made?

When did Biden do what? Go to Ukraine?20th February 2023.

That’s what what the truth does to a conspiracy theorist, as they find out their whole life and personality is bullshit.

“Do you pray to Jesus with that lying mouth?”

I was going to reply Cyclopes as a joke. Clearly my subconscious knows more than I do.

Tbf it looks like Hungary’s relative economic underperformance mostly happened between 1990 and 2010.

Typical Russian, can’t fathom that Russia is just shit, and blames failure on someone, somewhere, *deliberately* making Russia fail.

No, it’s take your ugly child to school day.
January 6, 2026 at 4:51 PM
Well that’s a huge and slow turnaround. But very welcome.

More what? Meat for the stew? I think NK has got all they can get out of this, and I don’t think we’ll see much of them again.

Maduro rigging the 2020 election is about as plausible as Big Bird rigging the 2020 election.

Having your lifelong unwarranted sense of innate superiority sucked out of you is a long and painful process. May it cause them all unbearable anguish.

Wow, an American can say “powers that are outwardly adversarial”, and not mean the US, with a straight face.

I for one stick a huge blue torch up my jacksie daily, as a result of which I only get 3 or 4 colds a year. Nor have I ever died of COVID.

Putin was almost correct. Ukraine took care of Nordstream 1, which fixed most of our gas dependency. Oil took longer. If only the switch to renewables had started 10 or 20 years earlier.

Not Americans, so they don’t matter in the slightest.

Americans killed by white Americans, especially with guns, also don’t matter in the slightest.

Americans killed by non-Americans though: an unspeakable outrage that must be avenged (perhaps by the destruction of an uninvolved country)

Buying Russian oil was a way of making Russia so dependent on the west it wouldn’t jeopardise that by invading westwards. Unfortunately, Putin thought the dependency was the other way, especially after the weak response in 2014. Turns out Europe doesn’t need Russia at all.

Tribunals have already ruled on how much Venezuela should pay, but they’ve always refused to. They need to pay that plus interest as soon as practicable, in order to normalise relations with the US.

The Ukrainians are prosecuting loads of people for corruption, because they’re trying to stamp it out. Truly corrupt countries don’t prosecute many people for corruption, because they’re all at it. Trump has earned billions through corruption, and will never see a prison cell.

I’m not 100% sure, but I think you mean enunciate.
