I'm your huckleberry.
Every time I read your amazing work I wonder if the rest of the NYT knows about it if or if you're just stealth-publishing. Your work is the strong point of a shambolic institution.

I always cringe when I read a comment saying "boy howdy am I gonna get blocked for THIS one. Ain't I a stinker?"

He still dislikes talking about those things. That's fine in my book, it's okay to dislike talking about things.

He then explicitly says that luckily, nobody is required to talk about those things as they enter adulthood. Instead, talk about things you like with others who share your interest.

I took his point as 'when I was younger I thought men had to be like and be good at these things if they wanted women. That sucks because I am not good at those things and I dislike them. It turns out you don't need to be good at these things or like them to date women, and that's rad.'

I assumed some of that was just being spicy for dramatic effect and not literal. It would be like if I said "that drives me crazy" when something doesn't actually make me insane.

Also, it just sounds like he hates conversations like that. I didn't interpret it as "because women expect that."

Could you quote or screenshot the text you're looking at concerning this? The closest I found is that he gets frustrated talking about things outside of his interest zone, such as directions and barbeques. I'll be real with you, I also don't like talking about those things.

...with all due respect, DID you read it? It builds to a point that I'm guessing you would agree with, that it's actually okay to not be into traditionally-'manly' things.

I am sadly not surprised at the number of people who would probably agree with most of what you're saying if they read this article, but didn't, and they are dunking instead.

Is it still a hot take to say I love Into Darkness?

At least most of the Gestral Beach challenges are for cosmetics and not say uber-weapons or anything.

Saw this last night too, and it absolutely holds up.

Why don't you use this opportunity instead of scolding everyone who is paying attention to it?
June 6, 2025 at 2:38 PM
Isn't it more of a (fake) face turn?

Wait wait, are there people on the left side of the political spectrum that are UPSET at you because you (imo correctly) pointed out that appeals to Ronald fucking Reagan in Slotkin's response are some weak-ass shit?

Wow. I think it's okay if you ignore those goofs.

Dynamite and Collision have felt much more focused this year than they have for a long time. I hope they keep the momentum up.

If you're gonna be wrong, be wrong with swear words, I always say!

It's just an intro speech. It's fine.

I think it's as simple as "Trump is good for business." People consume less journalism when there isn't a maniac running the country, I assume.
