There is no better way to mellow out extremists than to make them cooperate with others and succeed. You can hate a stranger, but you can't hate a brother in arms. Let this historic shift in power be what convinces them that some of these lefties are pretty alright. That's better than nothing.

More than anything, these are people who passionately hate the system and want to hurt it. That system, to them, is the rich Dems. Lean on that. We want them out, too. We can disagree later, but let's come together on the things we agree on and then debate the details afterward.

What's happening in Germany with the rise of the far right is a symptom of neoliberalism being fraudulent by design; fascism fully embraces capitalism while neoliberalism lurks quietly on its fringes. Fascism will always win that fight. Until the West abandons colonialism, nothing will change.

There is no place in this system for former colonies who want equality. They either submit economically to their former slavers or they face another military conquest. The Western world never learned to function without exploiting the global south and never will, as long as it's capitalist.
