12 for me in the U.K. Heard it on the Light Programme on a Midday Spin show introduced by David Jacobs, I think. Only started buying records just after Christmas 63, so a significant purchase for a young lad in North Staffordshire, utterly entranced by Dionne's performance. Pye International 1964 !

Weird, I know, but I remember buying Steely Dan's 'Can't Buy A Thrill' LP, all the time wondering if it had been well reviewed ! It was a matter of genuine concern for some stupid reason. Anyway, I played it to death and still love it. And the reviews, I think, were really good anyway.

Nascimento has now entered his 84th year, Neil ! He's got Altzheimers, sadly, but I'm celebrating him throughout this month on my Oasis show on Biggles FM. A couple of records a week and sometimes other versions of his songs. 'Vera Cruz' by Stanley Turrentine being a case in point.
