We live in capitalism. Its power seems inescapable. So did the divine right of kings. Any human power can be resisted and changed by human beings. Resistance and change often begin in art, and very often in our art, the art of words.

There is no bigger story right now than the White House asserting that California residents are in a state "of rebellion against the authority of the Government of the United States."
Has it occurred to anyone that GOP members of congress are voting for legislation that is guaranteed to piss off their constituents because they know there will not be the next election? Or even if there is, they can just choose to stay in office and there will be no way to challenge it in courts.

Has it occurred to anyone that Evangelical Christians worship Trump because he is exactly like their God, a capricious, vengeful being that demands absolute loyalty and unquestionable submission to its cruelty?
