I really don’t understand this frame of mind. You just know this is the same guy who 6 months ago was screaming at some poor customer service rep that his ford had an oil change indicator light go on too soon. Yet now with the cyber truck it’s all “almost died, how curious!”

We ALWAYS had pumpkin. I didn’t know other pies were an option! I promptly called Mrs Walsh next door and begged a piece of pie. That was a woman who had standards and her pumpkin did not disappoint. 30 yrs ago and I still can’t believe no one said anything until the pie was on the table.

Let me tell you ‘bout the sense of betrayal I felt. I had thought I was getting pumpkin til the moment key lime appeared before me.
I wasn’t given time to prepare myself. To set proper expectations.

There’s a book I read about 15 yrs ago that I cant find again. It’s by a Chicago author and mostly set in Chicago. It started with a woman playing black jack in Vegas and ends with a chase through the cardinal’s mansion in Chicago and had supernatural elements. Anyone know what I’m talking about?
