Gracie Nimsdottir - last but not the least. She was the runt of the litter, and her poor mum Nim was exhausted by giving birth to five other kits, that I had to help Gracie out and hold her to her mum to lick her into life.

Always a wonderful animal, full of character. Lady of Grace, Adieu!

A dreadful day. We found out that our lovely Gracie, missing for six days, was run over and killed on last Thursday evening. Two paramedics stopped and took her to the animal hospital, but she had already died.

Still no sign of the lovely Gracie - increasingly concerned that she may have been injured or catnapped.

Snowing in suburban Salford. Not too bad here but bet it's worse on the Peaks and Pennine tops. I'll not be up The Cat and Fiddle for a while.

My old BSA Lightning - a wonderful bike, but a bit of a money pit too. Used to fly like the wind until the engine overheated at which point the clutch would slip. Shook so much that the cable from the alternator would fall out and plunge us into darkness. Phot near Chesil Beach
