My favourite little nice thing about Carter’s passing is that The New York Times interviewed him when he was getting older to release the interview as ‘The Last Word’, after he died.

The interview was in 2006.

Astounding longevity.

The problem with marking pay is that I absolutely can mark one of these essays in 40 minutes or less, but I feel like the significant period of mental and emotional recovery/time spent making another coffee/staring in the mirror, wondering why I did this to myself needs factored in.
