The great thing about having the freedom to develop your own game is that you just don't have to stick to any rigid project schedule/structure. I've just taken a side-track because I know it will be epic.

I've just had an absolutely cracking idea for the game. I'm so excited about it, it's what I know people will love. Furiously going to be scribbling notes after this and badly draw diagrams.

I’ve reached out to multiple talented artists I’d love to work with. Many are booked through 2026.
At the same time, indie devs are criticised both for games “taking too long” and for using AI.
If you write off game devs for adapting with AI, you need to question the logic of that criticism.

Music is so important, it brings those visuals to life, ensuring you're connected to the game. It has to be captivating and catchy. Making you want to hum the tune on random occasions when you're not even playing.

I love the idea of having two ingredients placed into a cooker and you get visual feedback on what dish outcome that would make + energy and health boosts -without having to learn a recipe. This is something I first experienced playing RuneScape: Dragonwilds on Steam. Lets code this later.
