Caitlin is absolutely spot on here, but also missing the point - the flag fetishism isn't the big issue in multicultural and vibrant cities like Leeds, but in our towns, where the decades of post-industrial civic underfunding leave their biggest impact and find a populace demanding a scapegoat.
