Every word, save the word President, is from the Declaration of Independence, which makes me wonder if anyone in this administration has ever read it.

Your second set of headlines are from 7 Feb 24. They are in response to a proposal for a 4 month truce by Hamas, which didn’t include an end to the war or a commitment to a permanent ceasefire.

This rollercoaster seems ... unsafe.

Most of the time I just delete and report junk, but today I’m feeling salty.

Today is March 18. Another week with 0 updates from a government agency that pledged to provide the American people with weekly updates (after walking back their initial pledge to provide us with twice-weekly updates).

We’re putting our oldest dog down today. Inky was a good dog and a good friend and I’m glad we got to spend nearly a decade together. He’s tired. It’s time to let him go.

Give your muffins a hug for us.

Changes in the DOGE savings website in the past week (I last checked the site on 5 Mar):

None. Zero. Zip, zilch, nada.

Let’s review: they originally said updates would be twice weekly. That was a lie. Then they said updates would be weekly. Also a lie.

Sensing a pattern here.

to this, which does includes grant cancellations, none of which have any descriptions about what they were for.

3. Updated the language that describes the list of items shown on the page from this, which doesn’t include grant cancellations,

Changes in the DOGE savings website in the past week (I last checked the site on 24 Feb):

1. The font has been changed from “look how tech-forward we are” to “let’s make this look like Apple’s Home Screen.”

That was fun.

Look, I don’t know whether this place is pure science or pure bullshit, but I’m pretty sure that this letter is evidence that can be used in a lawsuit.

“Last updated February 17, 2025. This will initially be updated twice per week; over time, the website will improve and the updates will converge to real-time.”

Today is 24 February 2025. One week, zero updates.

No money was saved on any of these 4 contracts, because no money was ever paid for these 4 contracts, because no money was ever allocated to any of these contracts.

Seriously. Look them up.

The closer I look at the DOGE data, the angrier I get. Like, where is this savings number coming from?
February 19, 2025 at 2:11 AM
Then there are the “agency closing office temporarily” savings. Where do these numbers come from?
February 18, 2025 at 3:23 PM
A similar thing is happening with the real estate transactions marked with an asterisk. If an agency closes an office that cost $460K/year and then opens another office, perhaps one in a building owned by POTUS or one of his friends, for $500K/year, that’s not a savings of $2M over 5 years.

Data! Is it verifiable? Probably not, but I need more coffee before I go digging into it.

Elon says it’s correct, so 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️
