I went to Olmsted a few weeks ago on a Saturday during the crazy hot weeks and Open Streets was far quieter than it was in previous years. I chalked it up to the heat but it did seem just lower energy.

I work in the Programming Languages and Runtimes org at Meta. I can’t promise they support remote from Melbourne but I can poke around and ask if you have no concerns working there!

It’s hard to overstate how exhausting it is to see rightwing media dog on cities broadly and NYC specifically. Throw a mayoral campaign on top of that which runs on “NY sucks and I alone can save it” is a shit message - I’m glad voters are pushing against that.

Re-reading the code in the MCP server there’s a lot of overlap with what I’m working on. Neat! Guess a lot of people are moving towards the same ideas

Ah, as in CLI driven, no dependency on VSCode extension code. Just DAP plus a standalone server. I spoke without a thorough review of the GitHub source, my bad

His Odd Lots interview is very compelling. I think he’s got great left-leaning soundbites but in deeper interviews he appears to be pro-housing in a practical sense

Zohran quotes >50% of households as rent-burdened. Is the argument that more city-owned supply puts downward pressure on the market? @samd.bsky.social or someone else smarter than I.
