Although I saw a little of the show when it was first broadcast in New Zealand in 1992, I did not sit down and seriously watch it from beginning to end until about 15 years ago, with a mate. That led to us continuing to watch various shows together, and still going strong today.

I actually liked the stories she had from her school and college days the most - perhaps because they were more relatable than war zones and endometriosis.

I even learned an important life lesson: although not universally helpful. If you are the member of an activist organisation, and given passwords you must use if you ever need help in the future, don't destroy your brain by abusing booze and drugs. My review:

some were not so deserving). Both years I studied with him, he invited us to his house for a potluck dinner. I remember receiving a 95% on a paper I submitted, my best ever mark. I asked how to get 100%: "write a book, but then I'll have to mark you down for going over the word limit".
