Ok, and there's even less evidence that he might be Christian, or Atheist, or Agnostic, or named Fred, or is actually from the moon. There's an infinite number of things that "could" be true but have no evidence of. It does nobody any good to suggest those claims with zero evidence.

My comment is neither of those. He's from a place that is 72% Muslim and every report is reporting he is Muslim. So while it's not foolproof evidence, it's all the evidence we have. To suggest things that are not only not in evidence but also counter to the evidence we do have, is pedantic & absurd.

There's also no proof provided that his real name is what they say it is in all the news reports. No pictures of license, no birth cert, nothing. Typical apologetics lives on the argument of "not impossible". So while it's not impossible his name is Fred, it's not being "critical" to suggest that.

That's not what you're doing though. You're getting the most likely answer first, but since it doesn't confirm your bias you keep looking until you find the answer that does while pretending you're being "critical" but all you're doing is dismissing any evidence that disagrees. It's just apologetics
