Yeah. I'm cycling between inwardly rejoicing that he can't spew his rhetoric anymore, and feeling shame over being ' no better than them' and despair over how many people his death has radicalized to the right.
It's really not for much to do with the man himself he's gone. The end.

Yes! Students often have profound insights into the illustrations and I love talking with them about what they see in the art.

It makes me happy that Boromir's hero worship of Isildur and Narsil is a sign of his flaws.

Chapters(Indigo) 2001 had little tvs playing the chase to Brandywine Bridge. I must have watched it a dozen times in the store.
First part of the movie I ever saw.
Also, why are Saruman's stained glass windows purple and green?
(We know he's evil)

Bilbo's hunching over the ring as his reaction begins is a great foreshadowing to the Gollum of it all

Honestly, Bilbo's urge to use the ring to not be perceived is the most relatable part of his character for me.

The collaboration between Howard Shore and Peter Jackson on the scoring of this movie shaped my love of music.
They use silence as part of the rhythm of the music.
Example: Bilbo in his chair, opening and beginning to write Concerning Hobbits.
