Someone said to me shortly after I arrived to LA, "oh - you're only playing 3K a month? What a steal!"

at that time I just moved from Wisconsin where I was paying 350 a month. I was speechless.
FWIW they were right. I got REALLY lucky getting a townhouse at that price.

Now in ATX and it's steep.
