Also, the diversity of the team will surprise you. Brazil, Costa Rica, Malawi, Canada...the head coach is of Yugoslav descent

CPKC is the initials for Canadian Pacific Kansas City, a railroad company based in Canada that shares tracks with Kansas City Southern railroad

What made it so difficult for us initially was the fact there was nothing like it in the entire world, so many banks refused to finance the construction of the stadium because of that. JPMorgan decided to take a chance and finance it. Now look.

Should come by and watch a game sometime. Would be a cause worth fighting for to get other cities to build their own.

When women have their own stadium, they don't have to rent stadium space from men's sports teams. When women have their own stadium, the female teams can dictate their own schedules, their own events, all of that.

The stadium opened its doors in March 2024, and literally every game since then has been sold out. This year, the KC Current absolutely dominated the National Women's Soccer League.

11,500 seats, all less than 100 feet from the pitch, and the roof is designed to redirect the noise from the audience back down onto the pitch, making the stadium a very intimidating place to play.

I got a surprise for you. This is CPKC Stadium, home of the Kansas City Current women's major league soccer team.

It is the first stadium of its kind in the entire world, a stadium purpose-built specifically for women's professional sports.

I am not going to solve your problems for you. I will help you solve your problems but I am not going to do the work myself. If you don't have a solution for your problem then I cannot help you solve the problem, so come to me with a solution, not a complaint.
November 9, 2025 at 11:34 PM
Or we should start doing what my past few managers at work have done: "if you have a problem, don't come to me with a complaint. Come to me with a solution."
November 9, 2025 at 11:32 PM
We don't want to reward them for complaining. We want to deter them from complaining. If they want the problem solved, they should be expected to get off their lazy rear ends and work to solve the problem themselves.

NPC commentary from one of my games: "what, you think they're all dead because you say so? How about you shut your mouth and open your eyes, before some... government-trained guerilla-assaasin drops out of a tree and garrots us both"

I'd be that assassin

Gods, Americans complain about literally everything, and if there's nothing to complain about, they FIND something to complain about. I swear, it's like they are never satisfied with what anyone does for them.
November 9, 2025 at 10:56 PM
They push the narrative of "solve the problem we are complaining about then we'll shut up"...no, you'll just find something else to complain about then we'll be right back to where we started.

Oh, the protesters are already getting desperate enough now they are pushing their protests into the very things we enjoy to try to avoid burnout, using the logic of "minorities and people of color can't escape from the negativity so you shouldn't be allowed to escape, either".

Find someone who has no hesitation about being woken up at midnight on a work night to pick you up from the police station because you just got away from some trouble and need someone to take you someplace safe
November 9, 2025 at 9:41 PM
The best solution is to find someone you can call at OMG:30 in the morning and say "put on a hoodie and tie your hair back. I need you to help take out some trash" and their response would be "I'm on my way".
November 9, 2025 at 9:40 PM
That won't work. All those pro-2A gun nuts have already proven themselves cowards. They spent all these years bragging about their badassery because they have guns to protect themselves from an oppressive government and now we have an oppressive government but these gun nuts are nowhere to be found

We cannot do anything about the apathetic authority figures without changing the rules on who can appoint those people of authority to their positions
November 9, 2025 at 9:26 PM
We know there are problems in this country. You don't have to constantly bombard us with screams and complaints about those problems. The problems aren't getting solved because we have people in positions of authority who aren't interested in solving the problems.
November 9, 2025 at 9:24 PM
Forcing us to deal with negativity 24 hours a day 7 days a week is causing us to get burned out by it and that's the reason we are becoming apathetic. If you want us to be willing to help solve problems, stop shoving those problems in our faces every waking moment of every day.
November 9, 2025 at 9:22 PM
Because sports are an escape from all the negativity in the world.

The thing you protesters need to understand is that we humans don't have the mental energy to deal with negativity all day every day. We need time to relax, decompress, and recharge.

I know how to read. You got a problem with what ICE is doing, get evidence, call a lawyer, and take it to court. Stop trying to force the rest of us to join your little war.
